Operating posture
How this service is run, honestly
AeroScope is maintained by a named individual researcher, not a staffed operations team. That shapes what we can and cannot promise, and we would rather state it plainly than imply otherwise:
- No contractual SLA. The platform is offered free and best-effort. We do not sell an uptime guarantee, and you should not build a safety-critical dependency on it.
- Processes restart automatically. Services run under a supervisor with memory ceilings and automatic restart; brief restarts are absorbed by a last-known-good cache rather than surfacing as errors.
- Upstream dependence is real. Coverage ultimately depends on volunteer receiver networks. When they degrade, so do we, see data sources and limitations.
- Incidents are disclosed. Material outages and data-quality issues are recorded in the changelog rather than quietly fixed.

Does AeroScope offer an uptime SLA?
No. AeroScope is provided free and best-effort by an individual researcher. Services restart automatically and outages are disclosed in the changelog, but there is no contractual uptime guarantee and the platform should not be used for safety-critical purposes.
