Service components

ComponentFunctionFailure behaviour
Ingest & fusionPolls upstream ADS-B feeds, de-duplicates by ICAO 24-bit addressIndividual feed failure degrades coverage but does not stop the platform; remaining feeds continue.
Enrichment pipelineType/operator lookup, attention scoring, integrity checksA watchdog aborts a hung cycle so the pipeline cannot wedge indefinitely.
Anomaly / ML serviceConsensus anomaly detection, trajectory and baseline analysisIsolated from the API. If it restarts, the API serves the last known-good analysis rather than failing.
Web & APILive map, REST, WebSocket, MCP endpointStateless; served behind a CDN with automatic process restart.

How this service is run — honestly

AeroScope is maintained by a named individual researcher, not a staffed operations team. That shapes what we can and cannot promise, and we would rather state it plainly than imply otherwise:

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is this status page live or hand-updated?
It is live. The values are fetched from the production API by your browser when the page loads; nothing on this page is manually maintained or cached as a static badge.
Does AeroScope offer an uptime SLA?
No. AeroScope is provided free and best-effort by an individual researcher. Services restart automatically and outages are disclosed in the changelog, but there is no contractual uptime guarantee and the platform should not be used for safety-critical purposes.
